WENDY

                                                                                                                                             SID

 my very first Rooster.

Sid and Nancy, now deceased, were a pair,

a minute  after I got them, I fell in love with them, & decided I needed  to get

another hen for Sid.

That's when I got Wendy, all from the same, local

backyard hobbyist.

OPAL

A  Porcelain De Uccle  hen, given to me, by my good friend,

 Jay.

Opal likes to entertain herself by sneaking up, behind

Jack, the Peacock , while he's very busy and distracted,

displaying to something like a leaf,

a branch,

 a bug,

or nothing at all,  for that matter,

and she pulls  his under feathers out ,

which, causes Jack to jump 3 feet in the air and take off running!

This is truly Opals favorite thing in the world.

She will stop everything, come sneaking around  a corner,

as if she's just pecking around, and not at all, up to no good,

and BAM!

Jack's butt feathers, everywhere, again.

She gets him, every time!

Opal is not quite the Alpha hen, though she would like to be,

but is very dominant, anyway,

and certainly has that

"Zero tolerance, policy"

Just ask Louie.

                                                                                                                                       LOUIE

  Sid & Nancy's son.

He is the tamest, sweetest Rooster. Aside from crowing,

Louie doesn't act much like a Rooster at all,

but, more like a Parrot.

He loves to sit on my shoulder,

nibble on my ear and earrings,

and his favorite pass time,

 ME scratching his neck.

R.I.P

Not a day goes by, that you are not thought of.

You are sorely missed, everyday.
